New Hampshire Rehabilitation Association's 2010 Annual Conference a Success!

NEW HAMPSHIRE REHABILITATION ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL CONFERENCE (CEU’s Available!)
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2010 (Columbus Day Weekend)
At the Inn at Mill Falls and Spa - Meredith, NH

The Board of the NHRA is pleased to report that the Annual Conference on 10/8/10 was a tremendous success. Our attendance was up over 30% and the location at Church’s Landing, part of the Inns and Spa at Mills Falls was gorgeous.

We started the day with an uplifting presentation by Paul Boynton on the “Power of Yes” and had break-out session on military cultures, suicide, ethics, capacity evaluations, felons and employment and stress management. We ended the day with a dramatic one-man play, “Hearing Voices – (Speaking in Tongues)”, by Michael Mack on his experiences growing up while his mother slid into schizophrenia. It was an incredibly thought-provoking and moving experience. In addition, we were very fortunate with the weather and were able to have lunch set-up out on the grass overlooking the lake while Brandon Bullard played his acoustic guitar. It was hard to get everyone back inside for the afternoon program!

Thank you to Paul Boynton, CEO of the Moore Center, Ann Duckless, NAMI Community Educator, Edda Cantor, Regional Director at Goodwill, Dr. Tony Lowenburg, from Family Chiropractic, Peter Collins, LICSW, Clinical Director of the NH Deployment Cycle Support Program, John Moran, OTR/L, Kerry Raymond, MS, OTR/L CHT, Mark Steward, MA, CAGS Technical Assistance and Continuing Education Center and Michael Mack, The One Man Show.

New Hampshire Rehabilitation Association's 2008 Fall Conference

The 2008 Fall conference coincided with a special exhibition of some of Andy Warhol’s work.  It is titled “Andy Warhol: Pop Politics” and will present together, for the first time, Warhol’s paintings, prints, drawings, and photographs of political figures.  It was timed to coincide with the historical 2008 Presidential election this year.

We tried a different schedule for this conference that included a larger number of hour long break-out sessions. This will allowed people to get a significant number of CEU’s while also having time to tour the museum (at no additional cost).  We asked for your feedback at the end of the conference.  Click [HERE] to see the feedback we received.
